Linguistics at Northwestern

Language is a complex, species-specific system made up of several components (sound, sentence structure, and meaning). The study of linguistics gives us a unique window on the structure of the human mind and the mind's activity.
Summer School 2025
Summer School Registration is now open through June 20, although please register by the end of May to ensure adequate enrollment. Linguistics is offering two courses this summer. LING 260: Formal Words and Sentences and LING 270: Meaning.
